Donald Trump is broke. His lawyers claim he is unable to pay the $464m bond in his civil fraud case in New York. And they've tried it all, really. From selling his absurd "Trump Sneakers," to begging Elon Musk for money (though Elon defends Trump didn't actually ask him for money in their recent meeting in Florida), but who would be dumb enough to believe him, right?
On top of that, Donald Trump has ramped up his emails begging for donations, and Trump's entire family and inner circle, from Trump Jr. to Eric, to Lara Trump, have all begged and grifted their way into raising millions and millions of dollars for their master, Donald. But apparently, it's still not enough. Hell, even "multimillionaire" Grant Cardone (notice the quotation marks because we can't actually confirm he is a multimillionaire) who set up a GoFundMe page, with the help of his wife to raise money for Trump's defense has not been enough. The fundraiser set up to raise up to 355 million dollars has raised a total of 1.4m, and has slowed down drastically after just a few weeks of it being launched.
Wow, and can you believe these shills actually raised even a million? So much for inflation, right? But Trump has tried to appeal the case, to delay it, everything, and well, it's not working out this time. NY Attorney General Letitia James says she is ready to "seize" Trump properties and assets in New York if he is unable to pay. But that'll be a story for another day.
For now, Trump is desperately looking for means to raise enough funds, funds for his criminal defense and funds for his campaign (where Biden is outraising him). It's safe to say this is not a particularly good time to be Donald Trump. Time to sell more sneakers!
